The District Conference is coming up May 17 – 19 at Honor’s Haven in Ellenville.  The deadline for room reservations has passed;  there is still time to make reservations as a commuter and for Saturday night's Top Hat Dinner.  It was stated that there was additional money in the budget for the Conference and since all other expenses have been met, a decision was made to use the money to offset the costs of Wallkill East members planning on attending portions of the conference.  The final amount distributed to each member will be determined once we see how many people sign-up.  Steve Plain passed around a sign-up sheet requesting help from Club members during the conference.

Everyone was reminded that there is still time to contribute towards the Every Rotarian Every Year ($100.00 per active Rotarian).

Lauren has graciously accepted the position of Chairperson of the Fundraising Committee.  There will be a brief meeting immediately following this mornings’ meeting for any interested.

SPEAKER:
Chris Kenyon, the Conservation Director with the Orange County Land Trust, was the guest speaker for the meeting.  Chris gave an informative presentation of the efforts of the Orange County Land Trust.
