ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Rotafest had a good turnout last weekend. It was a little warm, but it was a great day and there was a good turnout from different clubs.
Due to scheduling conflicts, Chris Molinelli will be resigning from the club at this time. Suzanne Forni has also started a new position in New Paltz and will be transferring clubs. We wish both well and hope they will still visit us from time to time.
SPEAKER(S):
Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther learned compassion from her 29+ years as a nurse and feels this helps her in her current position. Her job is of course to work on legislation in Albany, but also to advocate for state money to come to her district. Her team has closed 700 cases ranging from insurance issues to food needs. Aileen is very involved on many committees including Rural Resources, Health, and Agriculture; she feels the more knowledge she has the better she can do her job. ("Knowledge is power.") She feels New York State has accomplished a lot (ethics reform passed, budget was on time, cut spending by 2%, etc.), but there is still a lot of work to be done.
50/50: Rich Shapiro
4-Way Test: Rich Shapiro
Have a great week!
Come on out to the Renegades FUN-raiser!
