12:  Pine Bush Chamber of Commerce Expo @ Pine Bush High School, 10am - 4pm.  We will set-up a table to promote our club.  Please let Lauren know if you can help at the table.

13:  Rotary Foundation Gala @ Hotel Thayer, 4pm cocktails & 5pm dinner.  Please let Lauren know if you would like to attend.
16:  Region 5 Meeting @ Best Western in Port Jervis, 6pm.

20:  Family & Friends Bowling @ Quinnz Pinz in Middletown, 4-6pm.  Fun fellowship event for members and their friends or families.  Please let Carl know if you plan to attend and how many guests you are bringing. 
 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Over 20 non-members and 17 members attended our New Member Mixer last week at Jack's Pub.  Hopefully we gain a few new members from it!  Thank you to everyone who attended!  Thank you to Bill B. and Bill F. for speaking!  Thank you to Suzanne for creating the flyer!  Thank you to Nikki for arranging everything with Jack's!

 

Bill Bassett de-briefed the club on the dictionary distribution, the Multi-District Foundation Seminar, and Interact Day.

 

We re-visited the 'Flock a Friend' fundraising idea and will move forward with it.  The flock of flamingos will move from location to location each night.  A person makes a donation to the club and tells us who they would like to "flock."  We put the flamingos in the person's yard with a sign that says "You've Been Flocked by Wallkill East Rotary!" A letter is also put on the person's door explaining the fundraiser and offering them the opportunity to flock someone else.  The person does not have to participate for the flamingos to be moved off their yard;  we will have a schedule that we will follow and will work new flockings into the schedule.  Lauren will coordinate the flockings, but need all hands on deck to help move the flock around!  A sign-up sheet will be passed around at our meeting on Tuesday.
