ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Marquez Miller, a 6-year old child, passed away yesterday after his valiant fight with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and to Cathy P., who was like family.

Our best to Bela's brother who had surgery last night. We will hope for a speedy recovery!

The Sports Memorabilia Auction was enjoyed by all in attendance. Thank you to Cathy P. and Suzanne for co-chairing with Nick. A special thank you also to Lynka- it's great to see our newest member "jump right in." A final accounting will be available as soon as all tickets are accounted for. Please email Nick with the number of tickets sold and bring your money to next week's meeting.

It's that time of year! Perkins is selling their holiday pies and treats again. Catalogues and order forms will be available at each of our meetings in the upcoming weeks. Be sure to write "Rotary" somewhere on your order form and $1 will be donated back to our club!

SPEAKER(S):
Our program today was the check presentations for our 7th Wiffle for Kids event. Lauren and Carl reported that: there were 12 competitive teams, 12 Corporate Challenge teams and that the Family Fun Fest was the best yet. The event netted just over $14,000, which is amazing in this economy. A special thank you was given to Franco for "being there from the beginning." Franco then promised to be there in the future. Alexis and Bill both gave brief talks about how their organizations will use the proceeds at which point both were presented with $4,202.04 checks (representing 30% of the net proceeds). An equal amount will be forwarded to the Community Foundation for our scholarship fund, while the final 10% goes into our fundraising account to assist with our other charitable commitments.
